The town of Klatovy is located about 130 km SW from Prague, 245 km NE from Munich. The town inhabits approximately 23.000 people. Many supermarkets, restaurants and a hospital are within 5 min. drive from the airport.

Large Airfield is surrounded mostly by fields and grassy areas one of the safeties DZ.

DETAILS OF ACCESS

The town of Klatovy is easily accessible by highway or by train. The organizer can help with arranging the train tickets and car rental.

Transportation for all officials will be managed by organizer according to FCEAD 2.3.

Competitors are responsible for their own local transportation.

Organizer will be mostly helpful for every delegation that needs to get VISA to European Union countries.

Accomodation / Dropzone facilities

ACCOMMODATION

The organizers chose the airport in Klatovy because it is one of the best equipped drop zones in the Czech Republic. Many foreigners from all over the world are expected to participate, and the drop zone and drop zone staff are well prepared and experienced.

It is possible to camp i own tent or camper. The accommodation is fully covered by wi-fi and there are toilets and showers in sufficient capacity. Electricity sockets, waste disposal, and parking is available.

It is possible to use the airport’s accommodation capacity: 2-Bed Room: €22 per room per night, 10-Bed Dormitory: €8 per bed per night, Caravan (for 2 people): €18 per caravan per night, Hut container (for 2 people): €22 per container per night, Mobile House (for 4 people): €55 per mobile house per night (includes: kitchen, bathroom with shower and WC, 2 bedrooms, living room).

There is good large restaurant at the Klatovy drop zone serving good meals. Another smaller restaurant, intended mainly for competitors, allows breakfast and refreshments to be served during the competition. In all restaurants, as well as on the manifest, is possible to pay by card and it is not necessary to use cash at all.

Directly at the Klatovy airport is swimming pool available for all the competitors and their spouses.

In the city of Klatovy, as well as outside the city in the nearby area is possible to use a dense network of good quality accommodation facilities.

AIRCRAFTS

There will be sufficient capacity to lift all the competitors for all competition rounds in designated time frame.

For Style (and accuracy training) multiple AN2 single engine bi-planes will be used.

For Accuracy, helicopter AS 350 B3 Ecureuil (Heli-Austria) will be used.

Equipment / Insurance

INSURANCE

All competitors must have full third-party liability insurance (minimum amount of coverage 1.500.000 EUR) valid in the Czech Republic (European Union) and also have insurance to cover medical expenses in the case of injury and repatriation (minimum amount of coverage up to the competitor). Any damage to the hotels etc. is the responsibility of the people involved. Personal items and equipment are the participants’ responsibility.

WHAT IS PERSONAL LIABILITY / THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE?

For example, if you accidentally landed on someone’s car the insurers would be responsible for paying for repairs. Or if you accidentally injure another person as you are coming into land your parachute, the insurers would be responsible to cover their medical bills.

EQUIPMENT

All participants are required to wear equipment which is in compliance with the FAI Competition rules effective 1 March, 2024.

Reserve repack cycle is 365 days if not set shorter by manufacturer.

JUDGING EQUIPMENT

All participants are required to wear equipment which is in compliance with the FAI Competition rules effective 1 March, 2024.

Airshot approved scoring system and SkyCam and Style Score system will be provided by organizer.
